Galle Photo Walk

We decided to go on a Photography tour at the Galle Fort on 26th March 2013. I’ve been there several times with larger groups and I know the area pretty well. This Dutch era fort is a big attraction in Galle and many foreign tourist visits this place.

An antique car and a Ghost

Let me stop there for a moment for a quick rant. I do admire the antiques a lot but the Ghost in the background just ruined the picture. This Ghost virus is now everywhere in Sri Lanka, if you go to Galle Face green on an evening you’ll see it’s entirely filled with these parasites, go to the streets and you’ll probably see a bunch of them.

Colombo Night Races – 2012

After a year Colombo Night Races held in the heart of the city on Saturday, 15th December 2012. The event was rather an exact replica of the event last year plus an annoying Tuk Tuk race. The main event everyone was expecting was the Super Car event which was easily won by Dilantha Malagamuwa in his Lamborghini.

Negombo Fish Market

Negombo Fish market would be a very busy place on a normal day. For capturing people it would be a nice place. We went there on 27th November 2012 and since it was a Holiday it wasn’t much crowded.

Muthurajawela

Muthurajawela is located near Ja-Ela, about 30km away from Colombo. The area is connected to the Dutch ear Hamilton Canal which is said to be over 100km long. We went on a Photography visit on Saturday, 10th November 2012 and found the Muthurajawela Information Center. The 2 hour boat ride costs only Rs. 350 per person and it’s fully worth it. The earliest boar ride starts at 7.30am and its advisable to go early as possible if you are a bird lover.
